FU BAOSHI (1904-1965)

In the upper colophon Fu Baoshi dedicated the painting to Mr. Elisseff, a French student who resided in China. Mr. Elisseeff wrote the book How Did the French Discover China? and other works as a sign of his passionate interest in China's art and culture.
