專家說明
The present pieces are part of a service ordered by Emperor Nicholas I in 1834 as a gift for Mahmud II, the Ottoman Sultan (1808-1839), to mark the signing of the Treaty of Unkiar Skelessi in 1833, which secured Russian access to the Dardanelles. Part of this service is on display in the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul.
