專家說明

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the movement of the present watch in 1912. It was encased in 1922 and sold on 18 September 1924 with a silvered dial.

The watch offered here for sale for the first time stands out by its excellent and original overall condition. The dial is clean and does not show any signs of cosmetical enhancement, the black enamel of signature, numerals and scales is beautifully raised. The case has evidently never been subject to careless polishing and has preserved its full proportions to the best extent. Most notably is the case back still displaying the engraved signature "Patek Philippe & Co. Genève" and "No. 169721" in a very crisp and clear manner to both ends, inscriptions often lost partially or entirely after repeated polishing. The fact that the engraving as well as the gold mark to the side are still visible shows how little the case back was exposed to careless wear and refinishing.
