With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, dauphine hour markers and 40 diamonds of approx. 0.72 carats in 1925 and its subsequent sale on 26 September 1927. According to the Archives of Patek Philippe, it was sold with a ribbon bracelet, the present white gold mesh bracelet can however be dated from the same period and was most likely been added shortly after the sale upon request of the original owner. It was made by the renowned Gay Frères, renowned for their high quality wristwatch bracelets, supplied notably to Patek Philippe.
Consigned by a private collector and never offered in public before, this watch exemplifies the elegant yet modernist Art Deco design. It is furthermore preserved in very good, original overall condition.
