專家說明
With its upper corona and rim cast with delicate rose sprays, this chandelier is related to other Russian examples, such as one with a similar design of pierced roses and also with a cut glass bowl, attributed to A. Schrieber, St. Petersburg, circa 1825, in the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg (see I. Sychev, The Russian Chandeliers 1760-1830, St. Petersburg, 2003, p. 170, pl. 819 and 821). A further example with similar rose sprays to those seen on the upper corona of the present example, attributed to A. Schrieber and possibly after drawings by Karl (Carlo) Rossi, circa 1825, is now in a private collection and illustrated in ibid, p. 170, pl. 815.
