The Rt. Hon Stephen Poyntz (1685-1750) of Midgham, Berkshire and by descent either to his daughter Georgiana, 1st Countess Spencer (1737-1814) at Althorp; or to his grandson William Stephen Poyntz (1770-1840) whose daughter Elizabeth Georgiana Poyntz (1799-1851) married Frederick, 4th Earl Spencer (1798-1857); and by descent.

專家說明

Stephen Poyntz (1685-1750) had a distinguished diplomatic career. In 1724 he became Envoy-Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Sweden. On the formation of the household of the Duke of Cumberland, second son of King George II, Poyntz was appointed as the young Duke's governor and steward of the household.
