專家說明

Photographed in the Sir Joshua Room in 1892 with a lacquer cabinet above. The Greek-key decoration relates to the pattern of pier-tables and lacquer-cabinet stands that were chosen for London's Montagu House, and have been attributed to the court cabinet-maker James Moore (d.1726). Moore's name labels one related Royal cipher-enriched table, commissioned for George I for Hampton Court Palace, (Ralph Edwards and Margaret Jourdain, Georgian Cabinet-makers, Country Life, pl.25).
