Purchased by John Poyntz, 5th Earl Spencer (1835-1910) in July 1860 from Annoot & Gale, 16 Old Bond Street:- 'To 3 carved & gilt old Venetian girandoles with engraved silvered plates of glass...£24', for Spencer House, London, and by descent there.
Albert Edward John, 7th Earl Spencer (1892-1975), removed by him to Althorp, Northamptonshire, circa 1926.

Charles Annoot traded as Annoot and Gale from 1854 to 1862 at 16 Old Bond Street, and was an exhibitor at the 1862 Exhibition held in the South Kensington Museum.
