專家說明

Jean-Charles-Nicolas Brachard (1766-1846) is recorded as a sculptor at Sèvres 1782-1800 with a brief sojourn as a painter 1791-1795. Several portrait medallions in the Wedgwood style similar to the present examples are in the collection of the British Museum. See Aileen Dawson, French Porcelain, A Catalogue of the British Museum Collection, London, 1994, nos. 168-172. See also Christie's, New York, 22-23 October 2003, lot 258 for a similar medallion of the French king.
