FIRST HALF OF THE SIXTEENTH CENTURY, PROBABLY SEVILLE
Decorated in a pale gold lustre, the central boss with a exotic bird, within concentric bands of stylised foliage and gemetric patterns
16¼ in. (41.3 cm.) diam.

Almost certainly acquired by Captain Samuel Edward Widdrington, R.N., (formerly Cook) (1787-1856) during his extensive travels throughout Spain between 1829-1832 and 1842 and by descent at Newton Hall, Northumberland.
