Each oblong with gadrooned borders and detachable reeded loop handles, engraved with a coat-of-arms, the conforming stands with foliage scroll handles and leaf-capped lion's paw feet, marked on dish and cover
the stands 13 1/8 in. (33.2 cm.) wide

The arms are those of Durrant for Sir Thomas Durrant of Scottow, 2nd Bt. (1775-1829), son of Sir Thomas Durrant, created 1st Bt. in 1784 and his wife Susannah (d. 1833), eldest daughter of Hambleton Custance in 1773. Sir Thomas, 2nd Bt. married in 1799 Miss Steenbergen. (2)
