Oblong with gadrooned rim and sides, on four-part fluted bun-feet, engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked near rim
7 in. (17.7 cm.) wide
The arms are those of Master impaling Legh, for Sir Streynsham Master (1640-1723) of Codnor Castle, co. Derby, who was at one time the Governor of Fort St. George in the West Indies, and his second wife, Elizabeth, daughter of Richard Legh of Lyme, co. Chester.
