The inscription reads 'PRESENTED TO HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE DUCHESS OF KENT BY THE GOVENMENT OF BRUNEI ON THE OCCASION OF HER VISIT TO BRUNEI ON 21 OCTOBER 1952'.
