專家說明

The pedestal, with its cut-corners and beaded-border foliate medallions, compares to a pair of sideboard pedestals, also conceived as plate warmers, supplied by Thomas Chippendale in circa 1776 to Harewood House (see C. Gilbert, The Life and Work of Thomas Chippendale, New York, 1978, pg. 194, pl. 353).
