A table of similar design, by Norman Shaw and supplied by Gillows is illustrated in the Cragside library Jeremy Cooper, Victorian and Edwardian Furniture, pl. 296). Cragside, near Rothbury in Northumberland was built by Lord Armstrong in 1863 as a modest country lodge, but was subsequently extended by the architect Richard Norman Shaw, transforming it into an elaborate mansion in the Free Tudor style.
