專家說明

Dr. Hans-Ulrich Beck has confirmed the date of the painting as 1653. He has further noted that the same guardhouse reappears in two other paintings, the first signed and dated 1651 in the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia (see Beck, op. cit., 1973, p. 321, no. 704) and the second signed and dated 1652, previously in the Marcell von Nemes sale, Munich, 16 January 1908, lot 29 (ibid., p. 322, no. 706).
