Contemporary red straight-grained morocco gilt by Bozerian, sides with neo-classical border roll [Culot, roulette 49], sun-bursts [fer 15] in corners, spine with dark leather onlays between double raised bands, compartments elaborately tooled with floral tools on a stippled ground [see pl. IX], pale green endpapers, gilt edges (very lightly rubbed at extremities). Provenance: Ellic Howe (bookplate).
