The work consists of a letter by the artist offering a future correspondence between the buyer and the artist.

Maria Barnas is a writer, poet and visual artist. She studied at the Rietveld Academy and the Rijksakademie, both in Amsterdam. She writes for Dutch newspapers such as De Volkskrant De Groene Amsterdammer, NRC Handelsblad and various art magazines. She is co-editor in chief of KOMMA, a magazine for art and literature and member of the editorial staff of RE-Magazine. For her first collection of poems, Twee zonnen (2003), she received the C.Buddingh-prize and was nominated for the Jo Peters prize for poetry. Her projects include a poem that is only available in a mental institution in Hoofddorp and a series of poems for 103 manhole covers in a park. Maria Barnas is also a teacher at the Writing department of the Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. Amongst her exhibitions are Time Out, W139, Amsterdam (2007); Just in Time, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Amsterdam (2006-2007) and Vamos a Ibiza, Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam (2007). In 2007 her work was exhibited in the exhibition A for Alibi at De Appel. In cooperation with Germaine Kruip and Maxine Kopsa she founded in 2005 the publishing house Missing books. Missing books exhibited in de Appel in the show Mercury in retrograde in 2006.
