Excellent appearance. Levels 3.5 cms. below base of corks or better
Tasting Note: 12,000 cases made, far fewer than any other 1er cru classés. Almost as many notes. So different in style, so good - and a totally different cépages mix, roughly 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, on the deep Pessac soil. Most recently: a glowing, mature, tile-red; sweet, now very soft, rich, complete. Tannin assimilated. Last noted at the MW Haut-Brion tasting, Jan 2000 ***** Superb M.B.
