THE PORCELAIN CIRCA 1745-50, THE DECORATION CIRCA 1750, THE SILVER MOUNTS WITH MAKER'S MARK OF DE LA RIBA, ASSAYER MASTER'S MARK OF BERNARDO MELCÓN, MADRID 1755
Painted in puce with rustic buildings in river landscapes within quatrefoil iron-red and puce-lined cartouches (slight surface scratching, one cracked across and restuck with small associated rim chip, the other with stained hairline crack running concentrically around lower-part issuing further short hairline cracks, small rim chip) (4)

專家說明

The painting on these beakers can be attributed to Giuseppe Romei, who typically painted landscapes in this style, first in red and after 1750 in puce. See the coffee-pot illustrated by Johann Kräftner (ed.), Baroque Luxury Porcelain, The Manufactories of du Paquier in Vienna and of Carlo Ginori in Florence, Liechtenstein Museum, Vienna 2005-2006 Exhibition Catalogue (Munich, 2005), pp. 331-334, cat. no. 174.
