Patek Philippe. A very fine and rare 18K white gold wristwatch with two-tone silvered sector dial

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial and black enamel hour markers in 1930 and its subsequent sale on 29 August 1932.

The reference 96 offered here for sale is a particularly fine and early example of the celebrated "Calatrava" model officially introduced into the market in 1932, year of sale of this watch and year of purchase of Patek Philippe by Charles and Jean Stern.

Amongst the earliest references 96 ever made, it is the only white gold example from the very first series and with such a sector dial known to date. To the best of our knowledge, this watch has never been offered in public before.
