Mark of Olovianishnikov Firm, Moscow, 1908-1917
Of clipped arch form, the cover with gilt filigree-scroll Greek cross over the doors, opening to reveal an icon of 'Saint Ermogen Patriarch of Moscow', flanked by Archangels Michael and Gabriel, painted on olive green grounds within deep blue cloisonné enamel scroll borders with green rosettes, the reverse engraved with the Slavonic prayer 'Strengthened the Dominion of our Tsars and delivered our land from impiety', marked on lower rims and enamel borders

專家說明

Princess Irina Alexandrovna of Russia (1895-1970) was the only daughter of Grand Duke Alexander Mikhailovich and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna. She was also the only niece of Tsar Nicholas II, and the wife of Prince Felix Iusupov, one of the men who murdered Grigori Rasputin in 1916.
