36½ in. (92.5 cm.) high; 66.1/.4 in. (168 cm.) wide; 31¾ in. (80.5 cm.) deep

專家說明

Considering its provenance, it is likely this impressive table was made in Scotland. The scrolled front legs relate to a pair of rosewood side tables supplied to George Home (1747-1820) for Paxton House, Berwickshire, by William Trotter (d. 1833) in 1814 at a cost of £20 10s. 0d. each. (F. Bamford, A Dictionary of Edinburgh Furniture Makers, Leeds, 1983, p. 120 and plate 54B).
