The large white enamelled beasts with long gilt tusks and ears, each swinging their heads in a frontal stance and wearing blue foliate harnassing, a large cloth over the beasts back forming the saddles for the seated figures decorated with cranes in flight, the riders wearing long robes depicting scrolling lotus on a turquoise ground and wide brimmed gilt hats, each holding a ruyi-septre within their hands
