專家說明
Theodor Knoblich (1827-1892) of Hamburg was a renowned German maker of chronometers and observatory clocks. His cooperation with the Hamburg Observatory strongly influenced the scientific time measuring. Knoblich worked with the chronometer maker J.H. Kessels for Krille in Altona, Germany's oldest chronometer manufacturer. In 1863 he took over the firm and renamed it "Theodor Knoblich, Krille Successor". Knoblich was awarded various medals for his excellent work, mainly marine chronometers, chronographs, electrical watches and precision pendulum clocks. Chronometers and watches signed Theodor Knoblich are part of various important collections and museums, notably the Deutsche Museum in Munich.
