The beaker by engraver and goldsmith Jules Brateau, 1844-1923, worked for the house of Boucheron and others. The panel was executed by Paul Grandhomme, an enamel painter who worked with Puvis de Chavannes and Delaunay. In 1877, Alfred-Jean Garnier became his pupil and later his assistant, and together, they completed the famous enamel after Gustave Moreau.
