This mirror, with its flower-filled baskets and scalloped cartouche, relates to mirrors made by the Lohr factory which was founded by Count Lothar Franz von Schönborn in 1698. Mirrors were primarily manufactured for his family residence, Schloss Pommersfelden in Franconia. Another mirror, with the same scalloped cresting surmounted with flower-filled baskets as well as a divided mirror plate is illustrated in H. Kreisel, Die Kunst des Deutschen Möbels, Munich, 1970, vol. II, fig.215.
