A GILTWOOD AND POLYCHROME-DECORATED CARVED RELIEF DEPICTING THE PRESENTATION IN THE TEMPLE

The sculptor Hans Klocker was active in the town of Brixen (Bressanone) at the end of the 15th century. The Tyrol, which is now divided between Austria and Italy, was a particularly fertile center for the production of carved and painted wooden altarpieces during the late Gothic and Renaissance periods.
