專家說明

The steam schooner Lorenzo D. Baker was built by Goes & Sawyer of Bath, Maine. She was 190 feet long and had accommodations for twelve passengers along with her cargo, which was primarily bananas. She had a powerful steam engine which produced enough power for her to make ten knots. On the night of July 15, 1889, while en route from Port Antonio, Jamaica to Boston, the Lorenzo D. Baker caught fire off Nantucket Shoals, and the ship was a total loss.
