The case modelled with Cupid riding a stallion-drawn chariot, the white enamel circular dial inscribed with Roman chapters, above a rectangular moulded verde marble plinth mounted with Love attributes, on paw feet with paper label inscribed 'Delvaux/109/28035'

This famed model of clock, featuring Cupid riding Apollo's chariot, above a plinth embellished with a bas-relief with love attributes, is generally described as 'pendule au char de l'Amour'.
Among related clocks, a chariot clock, formerly the property of the Earls of Nottingham and Winchilsea, was sold anonymously, Christie's, London, 15 November 2001, lot 3.
