專家說明

K. Van der Stighelen compares this drawing to a group of studies of heads in the Louvre attributed to de Vos by Frits Lugt (Inv. nos. 19917, 20200, and 21441) who associated them with portraits by the artist (Musée du Louvre. Inventaire général des dessins des écoles du Nord. Ecole flamande, Paris, 1949, II, nos. 1384 and 1386). De Vos' drawn portraits are characterised by precise definition of the sitter's physiognomy through deftly used parallel hatching.
