This mask made its debut at the Dallas Museum's Masque des Beaux Arts in Palm Springs in April 1991 during the Persian Gulf War. When Ronald Winston heard that the theme for the ball was "Bal Masque," he got inspired to produce something special for the occassion. The result: a jeweled rendition of the American flag.
