Cal. 27-70 Q nickel-finished lever movement stamped with the seal of Geneva, 24 jewels, gyromax balance, adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, opaline-white dial with applied white gold "obus" numerals, apertures for day and month below 12 o'clock, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds combined with 24 hours, 30 minute register combined with leap year indicator and date combined with phases of the moon, circular water-resistant-type case with concave bezel and down-turned stepped lugs, sapphire crystal display screw back, case, dial and movement signed, with an 18k white gold Patek Philippe deployant clasp

Accompanied by an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirming the date of manufacture as 1999 and its subsequent sale on November 3rd of the same year.

According to our research the present watch has never before appeared at auction.

Patek Philippe produced the reference 3970 from 1986 until 2004. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches, by Huber & Banbery, Volume 2, Second Edition, p. 305.
