Sugata [configuration]: shinogi-zukuri, iori-mune, torii-zori, chu-gissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: itame mixed with mokume of jinie
Hamon [tempering pattern]: wide suguha of nie
Boshi [tip]: ko-maru
Horimono [carving]: bo-hi on both sides
Nakago [tang]: o-suriage machi-okuri with sujikai file marks and two holes
Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 27 7/8in. (71cm.)
Motohaba [width at start of tempered edge]: 1¼in. (3.1cm.)

Koshirae [set of mounts]: comprising a red-lacquer ribbed saya mounted with an iron kojiri decorated with scrolling vines in gold hira-zogan, the tsuka mounted with iron fuchi-gashira decorated with wisteria heraldic crests in gold hira-zogan, the shakudo and gold menuki formed as autumn plants, the Higo-school iron sukashi tsuba carved with paulownia flowers, signed Nishigaki Kampei rokujusansai kore o saku
