專家說明

Hamsa puttuva, meaning two, three, or more hamsas (geese) with entwined necks, is a sacred symbol in Hinduism. The wild goose is associated with Brahma, who rides through the air on a magnificent gander. The migrating boundless goose, abiding in both the skies and on the earth, and remaining free from the events of individual life, symbolises the divine essence (A.K. Coomaraswamy, Medieval Sinhalese Art, 1908, p. 85).
