With a pair of twin-panelled doors enclosing two later sliding trays, on a plinth base, originally in two sections, with two printed paper labels on the reverse with a shield of three Moors' heads and a viscount's coronet printed 'Canning', and one inscribed in ink 'NO.79'
56½ in. (143.5 cm.) high; 50 in. (127 cm.) wide; 21 in. (53.5 cm.) deep

Probably commissioned by Charles, Earl Canning, K.G. (1812-1862), Viceroy of India and by descent to Harewood through his sister the Hon. Harriet Canning, Marchioness of Clanricarde.
