W. Lebelle (French, 19th Century)

According to a label attached to the cardboard backing, the studio in the present lot is that of the artist Antoine, Baron Gros (1771-1831), with a portrait of a member of the Lestang-Parade family on his easel. The two ladies admiring another work in the studio are also supposed to be members of this family.
