专家说明

While in Paris, Frederick William MacMonnies completed a life-sized plaster model of Diana in December 1888, which he exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1889. The model received honorable mention, and its favorable response inspired the artist to create bronze statuettes that were cast mainly by the Parisian foundries E. Gruet and Jaboeuf et Rouard beginning in 1890.
