The East Doors, or The Gates of Paradise, were commissioned by the Arte di Calimala (The Cloth Merchants Guild) for the Baptistery in Florence in 1425. Completed by Lorenzo Ghiberti, these two panels are modern renderings cast after the Adam and Eve and Moses panels on the doors.
