engraving, circa 1531-50, on laid paper, watermark Crossbow in a Circle (probably Massari 4; Woodward 216; first recorded 1542), a fine impression of the first state (of two), printing with a light plate tone and many horizontal wiping marks

专家说明

This is an impression of the first state (of two), although Massari and Boerner describe it erroneously as the second state (of three). Bartsch records only two states: the present first state; and the second state with the publisher Lafreri's address added below Bonasone's name.
