EUGENE GAILLARD (1862-1932)
拍品 179 PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE EUROPEAN COLLECTION - LOTS 179-183

Although Eugéne Gaillard was an architect, he primarily focussed his attention on furniture design. Together with Georges de Feure and Edward Colonna, he designed Samuel Bing's Art Nouveau Pavilion for the Exposition Universelle, Paris, 1900, where the wardrobe and beds were exhibited. It seems reasonably likely that the whole suite would have been displayed. To have a suite by Eugéne Gaillard such as this one remaining together is rare.
