“For my first London solo exhibition with Massimo de Carlo in 2009, I wanted to review everything I had made over the past two decades, and among various projects was ‘101 Art Ideas You Can Do Yourself’, which had remained unchanged for nearly 10 years. There was a news story circulating around that time involving Michelle Obama's breach of protocol when she gave Queen Elizabeth a hug upon their first meeting. I decided to use that mild scandal as the inspiration for the 102nd Art Idea since as a moment it was both historically significant and immediately forgettable.” – Rob Pruitt
