专家说明

It has been suggested that the artist depicted at the centre of the composition with the brush in is hand is Paul-César Helleu in his studio (cfr. P. Dini and F. Dini, 2002, Vol. I, p. 189.). The unidentified elderly man on the left appears also in other works by the artist in the late 1880's.
