1865**** Very Good for Red, ***** Outstanding for White
Pre-Phylloxera vintage. Some frost in spring reduced the yield in 1865 followed by a dry summer. Wines of excellent quality and structure with long intense finish. The best wines still have kept their lively red color and offer a remarkable tasting experience and above all pleasure.
Resembling the 1846’s. Recorked in 1991.
Tasting note: Fairly intense, bright with healthy red colour. Very intense nose of fresh truffles. Beautiful in the mouth, balanced and long. Impressive wine of freshness, great bottle. BPF
