Each piece painted with a view of a British building, titled to the obverse, comprising: two ice pails, covers and liners and sixteen plates
The ice pails 12 ¼ in. (31 cm,) high

Purchased from the factory in 1813 by Sir William Cosway, and thence by descent to the present owner

Sir William Cosway (1783-1834) lived at Bilsington Priory in Kent and was secretary to Admiral Lord Collingwood during the Battle of Trafalgar.
