Harriet Whitney Frishmuth (1880-1980)

Harriet Whitney Frishmuth is renowned for her graceful and lively figures perfectly translated into bronze. Play Days was inspired by the young dancer Madeline Parker. Desha Delteil, Frishmuth's friend and favorite model, introduced the artist to Parker, who suggested the pose of tickling a frog with her foot. Play Days won the Gold Medal at the Garden Club of America in 1928.
