Alphons Leopold Mielich (Austrian, 1863-1923)

Leopold Mielich travelled throughout Europe in his training and throughout the Orient in his work. He studied in Paris, London and Munich; but in later life his visits to Egypt, Algeria, Palestine and Arabia inspired the Orientalist subjects for which he is best known.
