专家说明

The present ivories are almost certainly by the same hand as an ivory figure of the Mourning Virgin, listed by Theuerkauff in a private collection in Munich (loc. cit.). The present figures share the elongated form, voluminous and bunched drapery, long and bony figures and languid facial expressions as the Munich Virgin. Some of these characteristics can be seen in the work of Jan III Van Doorne (1616-1663), and it is likely that the artist of these three figures was working in his circle (Brussels, loc. cit.).
