专家说明

Mark Blanchard (d.1870) served his apprenticeship under Messers. Coade and Sealey and went on to set up his own establishment on the Lambeth Road in 1839. It is most probable that Blanchard purchased some of the Coade moulds at the sale of 1843 and has been considered as a successor to Coade's manufacturing process. His worthiness as such was validated when he won an award for his exhibit at the Great Exhibiton of 1851.
