W. A. S. BENSON (1854-1924)

The foot of the stand is similar in form to stands which Benson employed for kettle-stand model 558, and lamp-stand models 226, 226B, 919/s and 1074/s. It is also closely comparable to his original coat-stands used in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
